A Google A Day

A Google a Day is a bit like a game of Trivial Pursuit with a twist. A Google a Day encourages you to ask Google to find the answer to the question for that day.

A Google a Day asks a daily question that allows you to use your own creative searching skills to locate the answer. The answers are posted the next day on the site. Not only are the answers revealed, but help hints on how best to search for the answer are also given.

A Google a Day can be used to teach students searching skills, as a daily challenge, or even a social studies or history assignment. A Google a Day doesn't ask average everyday questions. The questions are geared toward your older students, however your advanced younger student would enjoy the challenge. Your students, as well as yourself, will be challenged in a whole new. It is worth checking out.
